We’re looking for a Senior Applicative SQL Server DBA to join our fast-growing R&D department.
Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in DB design, system monitoring & maintenance, implementation of internal tools & processes, and the ability to handle and troubleshoot complex queries and flow.
Responsibilities
Provide guidance and support to Application Development teams.
Perform DB design/code review, and SQL query tuning.
Troubleshoot performance and data issues, and implement, test and deploy SQL hot fixes.
Upgrade and improve application schema and data.
Research and study new databases and perform POCs.
Configure and maintain database processes, including monitoring of system health and performance tuning using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an application SQL Server DBA.
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Multi-tasking and working well under deadlines in a changing environment, strong problem solving and analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
Experience with PostgreSQL – Big advantage
Experience with CouchBase and MongoDB - Advantage
Experience with PowerShell - Advantage
